Where to get an SVT 40 nowadays?

I sold a gorgeous refurb with a nice heavy naval stock at the Regina show this weekend.

Ya, I guess. But I'm the type of shopper that buys anything good as opposed to looking for a specific milsurp and I never see any on the site. Speaking of which, somebody buy this Inglis Bren before I do ;) https://joesalter.ca/products/deactivated-canadian-brew-gun-and-tripod-unit

Send Martin an email, he might have one tucked away in the back like he did for me a while back. Couldn't be happier with the svt he dug out of his personal stash for me, it's a beauty.

I don't have the whole picture, but one of the biggest SVT importers/retailers now have very low stock, and they raised the prices. With no new imports in a foreseeable future I think this is the end of "cheap SVTs era" in Canada. Which is good and bad at the same time. Second-hand market will not allow prices to skyrocket, but $199 price will be now be remembered as a story from the ancient times.

As a general rule, I don't get more than one of any given WWII long gun - I'm trying to build up a representative collection, not focusing on any one country.

I lucked out on the now mythical $200 Christmas Special for the SVT. I now regret only buying one. If I had bought several, I could be flipping the spares now to fund other guns.

Sot it goes.
