Where to get M1 Garand Adjustable Gas Plug?

I'm looking to buy an M1 Garand Adjustable Gas Plug.

I tried Brownells and had my orders cancelled (both Schuster and McCann say "Available outside USA" but are not).
I PMed Pocketfisherman but it seems like he hasn't been on CGN in a while.
I put a WTB out in the EE.

Is there anything else I can do to get one before I try going the IRG route and paying the $200 fee?

Unfortunately the McCann plug has only recently been withdrawn from cross-border capability. I bought one in April 2014, but shortly thereafter it became unavailable. Canada is such a small market that the manufacturer probably decifef to discontinue doing whatever export rule actions were required for Canadian service.

Your best bet for safe ammo is to reload or try to buy the few Garand-specific offerings from Hornady or American Eagle. They are specific loads and can sometimes be found in Canada. Try calling some of the places like SFRC on this board.

Update-SFRC is sold out of American Eagle, but has Hornady in stock. It is expensive but kind to your op rod, and Garand parts are hard to get.
