Where to get non-corrosive 7.62x39 ammo?

Just trying to figure this out...a while ago, i got NORINCO non-corrosive ammo at Marstar, but now they only got the corrosive stuff....same with some of the sponsored links on this website.
I was very happy with the NORINCO's performance and i would like to get it again but preferably from Canadian supplier...less hassle.
If i can't find NORINCO, i would settle for something else as long as it is non-corrosive.
Could someone point me in the right direction?

Marstar doesnt get norinco ammo anymore because the ships can't land at a US port if they are diverted, but neither can norinco guns... Imagine if they could just ship the guns and ammo on the same ship? It has nothing to do with the fact Marstar gets to make more of a profit off ultra cheap corrosive ammo. Marstar would never stop selling something just because it would get in the way of sales of another product, thats why Marstar now sells chinese SKS rifles now the yugo ones have sold out...

I am sure marstar will be glad to get you some norinco ammo, after they have sold all the Czech leftovers.
 
Ok...maybe getting it from the US will be my only option.....
Could anyone tell me what kind of BS can i expect as far as the shipment clearing the border and all...of course assuming that it is even legal....

Mam...i gotta say, i completelly lost interest in importing ammo from the US after somewhere around step #3.....:eek:
I can't see anyone actually going through the trouble unless the person imports ammo for living.....
 
So this is correct..?

Igman soft point- boxer primed (Bosnian) non corrosive= corrosive
MFS- boxer primed (Hungary) non corrosive= corrosive
Hungarian surplus- Brendan primed non corrosive= corrosive
Czech surplus (Marstar) = corrosive

I hope this is not correct becuse thats pretty much all thats available in quantity. What do you recommend?:confused:
 
Your choices for 7.62X39 are very limited. Anything from any Eastern Europe or Russia is corrosive regardless of what is says. Wolf ammo is hard to get in quantity but I did manage to get my hands on 20 boxes at $6 each a year ago at a gun show. Only other options are Winchester or Remington which are both hard to find and expensive $11 to $17 a box. So you have three options:

1) Jump through all the hoops and import some Wolf from the states.

2) Shoot corrosive and clean religiously. (Best Option)

3) Reload. I don't know anyone that reloads 7.62X39.

I have 1.5 crates of Czech through my Chinese SKS and have never had any major issues except for two broken cases that got stuck in the chamber. Canada Ammo is the best deal and when they get some more in I'll buy another crate.

Yeah, my .303's eat a steady diety of Igman stuff and they are peachy. If you know where there's some Igman 7.62X39 for a decent price let us know, I think I may need some

I didn't read it anywhere. It just seems logical based on statements made. Eastern European, same primer as the Hungarian, most likely military surplus etc..
I WOULD really like to be wrong since this maybe the ammo I could use!!!

Well, I will go out on a limb and say that it is not....Igman is new commercial production ammo, not some weird surplus coming out of some recently discovered grotto :)

In any case, I have shot about 800 rounds out of my swedish mauser using Igman, and although it is sooty as hell, I have no rust to speak of. Never did I clean with anything other than Hoppes solvent.
