Hey guys!
So I went and bought SKS at AlFlaherty's thanks to some guys from this forum that suggested it and now wish to go practice shooting at some targets.
I found few places: Silverdale Gun Club and Sharon Gun Club. For the second one not sure yet if it is possible to shoot from SKS.

Two is enough, but I thought maybe there are more close by that you could suggest? Also I herd it is possible to shoot at crown lands. If you know of any where it is possible to go shoot please suggest it to me.

Thanks in advance!

Ya Man! you can shoot on any public land except for certain parks or even farm land to witch you have access as long as its not withing the legal limits of a city or village(duh...). Thats the beauty of non restricted firearms. Just go for a little trip in the woods or in the praries and have fun. Old logging patches are nice too. Enjoy :)

I suggest finding some crown land or vacant sand pits that aren't in operation. Call the owner tho for permission.
Ranges suck.

Silverdale is your best bet!

If you need some ammo, let me know.

Cheers,

Hey all and thanks!
Yesterday I finnaly have made it to a range! It was - Silverdale Gun Club.
I liked it. Little bit far - 135km to drive. But it was worth it.
Have shot from SKS, Savage 10/110 Trophy Hunter and CZ-512 at 50 yard range. (Don't laugh to much it's my first experience at shooting from rifles).
Even though SKS didn't have a scope I still hit the 10 more with it than the other two combined.

I had a great time! Thanks for sharing the name of the club.

that is freakishly far to go shooting.

no local crown land? We have some 10kms away then a 10 km drive to the range sites

I might join. Only thing stopping me right now is distance and I am not sure how many times a year I will be able to go there.

Hey! I searched for crown land and found one at approximately same distance as the club is. You know any around GTA?

...i have a 100 and 300 yard range from my front porch...come stop by and shoot for free any time...lunch and coffee no extra charge! :)

good luck be safe and have fun!

Samson Hi. Have no idea where is 72A (where should i look for that?) but i found Cobourg on google maps and found the crown land north of it - closer to Rice lake, on Caradoc Road. Is that the one you wrote?
