I'm sure im still quite green. But I shoot a lot and have certainly mastered the basics. Plus I'm competitive in nature haha. I currently shoot at SPFGA
I've been a member since 2013 and they've always had a thrower and trap houses in the back shotgun range...
That's a glorious shot! It's nice to travel if you have the time but somehow I think it'll be a while before i can travel to shoot. I've only recently bought a shotgun more suitable for this sport. Before i was getting by with a pump action 18.5" barrel and full choke. Did the trick with #6 to #8 but now I've got a 28" winchester pump. Much better with an improv choke. I know many use Over Unders but I think a long Semi would do just fine. Thoughts from the vets?
Are you saying 28" is too long a barrel? In any case i understand the advantages of a semi and what chokes to use in accordance with the distance of the clays but maybe I don't quite understand the fine line between Skeet and Trap.
I was out at the Edmonton Gun Club today learning all this. I actually did not too bad but there is more practice to be done!
