Where to hunt around Kitchener/Guelph?

I'm mainly a handgun shooter, so don't hunt really, but a female friend of mine wants to go hunting already took her to the range and let her play with my pistols (shotgun and rifle next time) she liked it and had no problem shooting a 9mm or .45ACP .

Anyways where around Kitchener/Waterloo or Guelph can I go hunting? Rabit or birds would be fine. I don't have a truck or a large freezer to accomodate a deer. I'm still fairly new to the area...

Hunter safety course first. Go to the Ontario MNR site and it will explain everything.

There is hunting on some Grand River Conservation Authority conservation areas. Go here for details:

Kitchener and Guelph are a far bit away, if you don't mind going to Fergus go talk to some farmers near the grand river. Lots complaining about deer on the properties needing some assistance (or so I've heard talking to them well fishing). Never got up there but Hey there is always a first.
