Where to mount the bipod adapter?

Okay, I have read quite a few posts on this, but I just have a couple of questions. I have a USGI stock, a Harris lightweight bipod and a 2A adapter. I want to drill out one of the sling rivets, but which one? Front or back? Also, should I reinforce it with JB weld after I replace the rivet with the 2A adapter?

2A adapters are not recommended though they will work..... best bet is to get a short rail and install it instead and get a weaver bipod adapter
