thinking of getting an X-bolt, or, maybe a Remington 700 platform and I want to have a full length stock made for whichever I get.

in fact, I want it to be a bit fancy, with a double schnabel forend and to be extra difficult, I'd like it to be laminate as well.

any possible way to get such a beastie made? :yingyang:
 
I will tell you right now that it will be 100x easier to find for the remington.
You can attack from a few different angles.
1)send it go a true custom stock maker to have him build one from scratch (huge $)
2)you can add/alter a current stock to however your heart desires and have it duplicated in laminate.
3)you can start researching stock companies/guys with duplicators hoping to find someone who produces something close to what you want.

#2, and #3 will still need complete final fitting, refinement, and finishing

I had a sweet blond M98 in .308 with double schnabel. she was almost perfect, absolutely gorgeous, but headspacing was waaay off, so I sent it back to the seller. I've been dreaming of something similar every since. :)
 
I've had good luck with boyds stocks from boydsgunstocks.com , only issue is the Canadian dollar and shipping. Other than that, nice fit and finish, it's basically a drop in assembly.
