Where to plink between Sudbury-Orillia-Toronto

I am taking a road trip to Sudbury soon (from Toronto ) and I am wondering, is there some crown land along the route where I can make some popcans into swiss cheese with the help of an air pistol and/or 22 rifle?

Perhaps somebody (I'm thinking I just volunteered) should make a google map with locations of plink-friendly crown land, gravel pits, etc. throughout the country.

I know for Ontario at least they have an online interactive map showing all the crown land and you can view the details for each to see if there are any usage restrictions. Just google "Ontario crown land" and it will be the first hit.

Once you have located some crown land that interests you, look it up in google maps to see if there are any open field to it, etc or just dense trees.

That interactive map thing is crap. Look at the post about Crown land below this one; there are a few spots mentioned there
