I just purchased a rebuild kit for my GSG1911 and it came with a bottle of metal polish. Other then my feed ramp is there anywhere else to polish to improve the reliability of this pistol? After the rebuild and a polished feed ramp I'm getting FTF/FTE about 2-3% of the time with Federal HV blue box ammo, which is a lot better then before the rebuild.

Don't polish it (the gun, what you do with your helmet is your business

I polished chamber and gave it a good clean and some frog Lube and took it to the range. The first 300 rounds ran flawless and then I had 2 FTF in the last 100 rounds. Both FTF were caused by the nose of the round getting caught above the chamber. The first 50 rounds were CCI mini mags, the last 350 were Federal Blue Box. It was a good day for the GSG

Remove the paint from the slide/ frame rails. That should loosen it up a bit.
