Darn it Noel you should have posted those pics a week ago, I just finished making a new top for my bench out of a couple of laminated sheets of 3/4" ply.
That is a really good idea you have there.

I have been thinking over my reloading bench and room for several years and only just found that idea.
To be really off the wall I am going to make a round table for the middle of my room as well. The base will be made from an Oak Whisky barrel, the top will have three slide out pieces like the pics I posted. The room will have a bunch of displays as well so this second table will double as the place to sit around and tell lies with the boys. Hope it all works out.
