Where to send rifle for a bedding job

Do it yourself... it's not that hard. Unless you have a magnum caliber you don't really need to pillar it as bedding alone will marry the action to the stock. Pillaring is for heavy recoiling rifles where you need the extra torque on the action screws.
There is some good literature out there on action bedding that makes it quite easy. I can do it much better then I can explain how to do it but it's not hard.
I use a product called Plastic Aluminum to bed my actions which works very well. I also use Tree Wax as my release agent and putty to plug holes.
You only need to bed the two areas where the screws anchor the action which are the lug area and the tang area. All other surfaces should float.
Good luck in what ever you decide to do.

I do much of my bedding myself, but if I'm feeling lazy or the rifle is already there for a barrel, Craige at AC Douglas Gunsmithing (Saskatoon)gets that work. Normally he will get your rifle back to you before you forget what it looks like.:D
