Where to shoot long range in the Vancouver area???

Hello all,
I'm looking to get away from my local ranges as they only offer up to 200 yards. Id like to get out into the bush ( somewhere safe and that wont bother others ). Does anyone have any suggestions??

i dont know the area...but im sure u could just go to a golf course (par 5's work best) and make sure to let groups play through

Another option is to join BCRA and come out to our practices and matches at Vokes in Chilliwack. We shoot at 300, 400, 500 and 600 metres. We get our targets pulled and marked with each shot. This is a real bonus when you are shooting long range and can't see your bullet hit.

If you want 1000 yds you can go to Fort Lewis just south of Seattle. It is far but I learned plenty from american shooters and they're also very nice folks. You will need a BATF permit (easy to get)
PS: Lewis & Clark didn't visit the US just by watching TV...
Here, being close to Mtl and with St-Bruno closed I sometimes travel to Albany NY (3 hrs) to do some Palma matches (800, 900 and 1000 yds)
