Where to shoot?

Im fairly new to shooting and have been out towards mayo lake but thats far and you need a truck.

Is there anywhere closer to victoria that is acceptable for shooting like maybe near sooke or shirley? is it all private land out there?

I can't say in your area, but you can likely pull up a bylaw map for areas that do NOT have a no-discharge bylaw, and where crown land begins.

I'd strongly recommend attending a club local to you and talking to the members there. I'm going purely off your username here; You're aware you cannot shoot restricted anywhere but a certified range, right?
 
I am trying to figure out the closest place to Vancouver but it's difficult. Has anyone ever made a google map with the boundaries laid out of where you can and can't plink?

I wish. I feel like the general consensus is people will tell you about Mission because everyone knows that area, however, the areas close to Vancouver (along highway 99 for example) people tend to keep secret.

If you find out don't be afraid to let me know :D

I had a guy tell me he takes a FSR near Furry Creek up a little while and goes plinking there. I've never checked it out though so can't warrant his statement.
