Does anyone know where to find an adjustable laminate wood stock with features similar to the McMillian A5. Adjustable cheek piece. Maybe adjustable butt plate as well. I'd like to upgrade a stock but much prefer the bright laminates to painted synthetics.

Thanks Rick I will check him out. I have found GRS too since I posted the question. Spendy on the GRS. I've handled the Boyd's at one adjustable stock and thought it was very lacking in fit and finish.

The GRS is a great stock but not really that A5ish. Russo's stock is an exact copy of the McMillan A5, but also similar in price.
Not sure if Russo does full finished or not, the ones we got in were in need of final prep and finish after being bedded.

I have had a couple of the Boyd's Pro Varmint stocks, they are very A5(ish) and I didn't have any issues with their fit and finish. In fact the rifles were complete drop ins. Not bad price either, considering the going rate for McMillan or Manners.

Cool. I gotta look into this Boyd’s Pro Varmint option.

Cheers, Barney

I have a pro-varmint. I did not realize that you could get an adjustable cheek piece on them. My pro-varmint has a very nice fit and finish. I just don't like the At One model. But now seeing the pro-varmint has an adjustable cheek piece option I'll probably go this way in the future.

Check out Foundation stocks. May be what you are looking for - beautiful stocks made from micarta. They are in the A5 styling.

Insite Arms is the sole distributor, so hit them up if that stock tickles your fancy.

I like the Boyds Pro-Varmint for rimfire but don't like the centerfire version.

Rimfire forend looks like a McMillan A5 while the centerfire version looks more like a Savage HS Precision forend
