All over the states there's type 53's for around 150 bucks how come no one here In Canada is offering them for sale? I know there was a post a wile back saying people want to buyem.

Hey Irunguns how about bringing some up to the Canadian store:D? Anyone else?
 
I don't think any of the Canadian importers ever brought any in. Most of the ones I've seen on either side of the border were in pretty rough shape.
 
Import one yourself? Probably cost you a bit more than it's worth but who cares if you need it for a collection?
 
I haven't been able to find any stores that import to Canada for free to import them and most import fees are more then the price of the rifle. I can drive to the local gun store and examine russian m44's I found a sweetie for 399. So if you import a 150 rifle your probably around 300 then exchange and shipping your up to 400 for what appears to be a rough rifle. If they were on our soil for 150-200 or so it would be worth it.
