So after an incredibly long wait to get my PAL, (my brother in law is an idiot and the RCMP couldn't tell me this) I finally got my PAL this spring. Just in time for me to be moving back to Ontario from Alberta. Possibly the stupidest thing I have done in a long time, but what are you going to do.
On the plus side though, turns out while I was gone they finally started improving the shopping experience in the Niagara Region, as there is a Bass Pro Shop opening later this year just off the highway about a ten minute drive from where I live. Actually I'm hoping to be working there when they start hiring which pretty much means I will never have a paycheck.
Any way ignoring the above at is wasn't really the point of this, what is the difference between the various .22 rounds specifically what rounds are interchangeable and which ones aren't? I understand that .22lr ammo of choice for starting out, but the Bass Pro Shop site lists .22 wmr as well what are the thoughts on it?
I know the Ruger 10/22 is pretty much the skateboard of firearms every kid should have one but assuming that wasn't possible what comes second?
