Which .22LR offers the best value?

I can get the 525 Federal value packs in the blue box for about $20 each. They seem to run somewhat reliably in my 597, but I couldn't get them to feed in my Mosquito worth a damn. At the equivalent of about $1.80 a box of 50 they don't seem to be bad.

Both my mosquito and 597 loved CCI mini mags, but now were talking just about twice the price, or $3 a box and they are difficult to find.

I'm still trying different brands and trying to come up with the ultimate reliability/cost ratio .22 load out there.

So what works well for you and how much does it cost?

Funny those are the both brands a always useBoth shoot very well out of my Ruger 10/22 and both worked well in my MKII.I found the CCI to be more accurate.If you can buy a case of 5000 of the CCI.Might get a better deal that way?

I haven;'t shot these but 666 rounds for less than $20.00 is with out a doubt the best price for 22 ammo right now. FS

For a 597 the best to feed it would be CCI Blazzer.

I dragged my 10/22 HB out to the range with fed hyper velocity and 'eley' match 10 rounds a piece @ 50 meters, both averaged .8

Funny how fast things change, seems like just last year I could still buy Wildcat for $12/500 (my favorite plinking ammo)...

Recently, I haven't had much problem with either the Winchester 333 and Federal 525...

Local UFA is selling Federal 525s for $16.99. Our Wal-Mart charger 9.96 for the 333s.
