which 338 lapua???

Ive been looking for 338 lapua precision rifle for a while now I am stuck between the sako TRG42 and the PGW Timberwolf. Both look pretty sweet, Ive had the chance to play with the sako and I do like it but I haven't seen the Timberwolf in person. One thing that keeps me leaning toward the sako is the price. For the difference in price I could pay for optics. The only 338 lapua I have owned is a Remington 700P so Everything Else is looking pretty good to me. I'm hoping to hear some opinions and experiences of why you like either rifle and If you think it will be worth the cash. I am open to suggestions of other rifles just not another remington
Out of the two you are considering I would go with the TRG, I also just happen to have one with a very low round count with all the expensive Sako accessories on the EE (shameful plug).

Only reason I am selling it is to buy a Desert Tech SRS as I need something lighter, shorter, more portable for my needs.

If someone likes the TRG42 I have a deal for you.
http://albertatacticalrifle.com/hik...ries-listing/product/134-sako-trg42-338-lapua $4800.00 plus tax and shipping for a NIB rifle that has a rail installed that accepts anyone's picatinny rings.

IF however you want a truly precise 338 Lapua with an additional 10% more horsepower and waaaaay better brass life we have this to offer, which is a Canadian made option.

Not bad, today's price at various retailers is 52-5500 plus tax for any of the phosphate finished 42's in 338 (bare rifle)

Bipod is 8-900, 3 ring optilock is 5-600 and muzzle brake is 3-400 all plus taxes.

But I have to say that I extensively shot a friend's rifle many times before buying mine and it is one of the few factory rifles that performs well with any type of factory ammo you feed it. Other 338's can be very picky in comparison

Yeah, my 110BA was far pickier than my CDX-33, which doesn't seem to care what you put in it.

I had a sako trg 42 while back, it was a good rifle and was accurate but I wouldn't recommend getting one unless you got a great deal on a used one. My biggest beef with it was the rear stock mounting is a poor design, two bolts holding that whole plastic rear part on, I could see it breaking little to easy. Another was the price of the accessories is ridiculously expensive and the resale value is low I found. I picked up a AXMC after and couldn't be any happier.
