Which 92FS? Original or Brigadier

I'm going to grab myself another Beretta. The one I have now is blue-steel and an older model (92.F) I really like the finish on the new Beretta's, a Bruniton finish.

But I'm not sure which model to get. I really like the "original" slide design in the 92FS, but I like the fact that the Brigadier has a heavier slide.

Any suggestions.

I already have a Beretta Vertec and my 2nd choice would be a Brigadier slide since as you already stated it's heavier. The heavier being from what I read and asked around provides more resiliancy and helps with the recoil. I'm sure the heavy hitters will give you more details ;)

I personally like the "clean" look of the original slide. I have owned both, and honestly felt little difference in recoil and muzzle flip (both of which are already negligable in the 92 series.)

I have and prefer a regula 92FS INOX... sooo ###y aghhhh *Homer drool* :D

+1 look of a regular slide design but Brig. slide is more durable for sure, if I'd ever get a 96fs (.40) it'd be either an Elite or Brigadier model, but for 9mm regular is more than enough :)

Stock up on the model you like as apparently, Beretta is discontinuing most of
their current model line.. no more Brigadiers, Elites,... no Inox models.....
The standard gun will be 92FS with a rail, and a choice (you'll get both) of
the 'regular' or Vertec (staight) style grip.....
Stay tuned!

Whoa? where did you hear that?

ps: I really don't see them do that, in fact they seem to be adding models :)

he got that from a dream. they are not discontinuing any of the line. They are introducing new products though, a new style frame with Sig like grips etc.

I must of been having the same dream because I was told just yesterday that Beretta will only be offering the basic black 92fs and the new 90 two which as stated comes with two different grip styles.
I heard it from Paulette at Al Simmons and she got the information from her Beretta rep.
