which base do you use to not lose the iron sights on an ar or keltec?

which base do you use to not lose the iron sights on an ar or keltec when mounting optics?

What's your view on this?

Id like to keep irons for CQ and have a scope for ranged....

I know there are some good reflex sights or 1-8 scopes but they cost a ton.

Look at Dueck Defense Rapid Transition Sights. They are offset 45 degrees, made for 3-gun.

when i screwed up and ordered the wrong weaver quick detach mount (i don't run irons) this showed up, it's the one on the top of the pic and is the ar15 flat top mount, it has an open channel in the center for what i assume is for the irons.
