What bipod do I need for a Stevens model 200?
Just rigging the gun up now.

Aside from what brand you buy, Harris or knock-off, you need to decide what position you intend to shoot from. A short 9" bipod is fine on the bench, but useless in the field where snow or grass will prevent shooting prone. Do you want to shoot prone? kneeling / sitting? Another option is pivot, and that's probably a good option to take.

Harris 13 1/2-23" with swivel. Longer pod is nice as you can sit behind it in the tall cover and rare is the case when you are prone that the 13" won't work.

Bipod or shooting sticks?

I personally favor the Stoney Point sticks over a bipod. You have much better gun movement with the sticks and the Magnum model that I used this season gave me a rock solid feeling rest for the two deer I shot at this season. Added bonus sticks are lighter to carry around and way less expensive. FS

Ive owned every type of Bi-Pod and the best Ive used for a sitting position is the Snipe-Pod . I have killed so many coyotes and deer with it and really like it because it does the same as a Harris but is lighter and folds down to fit in a little pouch thats attched to your belt.
