The in-laws asked what I wanted for Christmas. I checked around and figured I should get dies for the Swede. I only have one rifle chambered in it.

Can anybody recommend a brand and specific style? Lee, RCBS, whatever? They'll be heading to SIR / Wholesale this afternoon. Thanks all.

I have the Lee Collet Die set, and it works well. It includes both a full-length sizer and the collet sizer, as well as a seater. It's the best overall value for the money.

I also have an RCBS set that a buddy gave to me when he got rid of his 6.5x55. It too is an excellent die set.

Get RCBS or Redding. LEE are okay, but they don't have the same quality as RCBS or Redding. RCBS has the absolute best customer service and no-questions asked lifetime warranty on all their reloading equipment that keeps me coming back to them year after year.

The Lee looks cheap, but the Lee's interior finish was better than the RCBS F/L in my 30.06 sets. I have a habit of not lubing the odd dummy,I cn get away with that with the Lee,but not the RCBS.But DO clean the oil from the collet holding the stem. I know better and didn't, that's why I have two sets of 30.06. It was suggested by another, that's so they can sell stuck case kits.

I recomend the Lee Deluxe, too. On a long thread at AR the Hornady and Redding gave the most trouble,Lee and RCBS were hardly mentioned.

Remember the 6.5x55 takes different sized shellholder, which also comes with the Lee kit.
