Just curious...Currently I load my 9mm Luger with LEE dies. I think that I would prefer RCBS carbide dies. Having said that, I thought I might poll you fine folks as to which brand of dies that you prefer for hand loading pistol cartridges...

:nest:

I have RCBS and Lee. The rcbs are a well made die for the $$, but I have had no problems with the lee either. I have no need for high-end dies...

I've only been reloading for a year or so and started out with Lee. All I needed to do was hold a Redding die in my hand and new it was more my speed. Maybe it doesn't function any better than the Lee, but I don't care.

The new dillon: outstanding dies.... available in carbide, easy to clean without messing with your settings clean and incorportae a stuck case remover. Can't go wrong with them. Great gear, great service and fantastic, no BS warranty.

Regards,

Love the Lee dies, albeit they're the only ones I've tried :p

But I think Lee holds patents on their dies that even Dillon licenses....so, thats a good sign.

I prefer, in the following order; Redding
Forster
RCBS
Lyman
Hornady
Home made from pipe nipple
Lyman 310
Piece of small sewer pipe
Lee

I use Hornady for now but most likely will get RCBS carbide ones and Lee resizing die. Just yesterday during a match I was pointed out that Lee resizing die does great job going futher down on empty case.

Forster dies

I use the Forster Co-Ax press so I thought it would make sense to buy Forster die sets. I have many sets of RCBS as well. FS
