I'm looking for some advice from those of you who know more than me regarding which bullets to try in my tikka t3 338 fed. I am going to be using this gun for moose and deer and possibly elk. I have reloader 15 as a starting powder but am unsure which bullets would be the best without them costing an arm and a leg. I have factory ammo in 185 barnes , 180 accubond, and 210 partition and I'm getting less than stellar accuracy:confused:. I'm maybe getting 1.5" to 2" at 100 yrds with the barnes being the best. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm hoping to get reasonable accuracy but will give a bit for good bullet performance.
Would hornady sst be an option seeing the velocity of the rifle is a bit slower? They seem to shoot really well from my 270 (although I havn't tried them on a big critter yet though).
Thanks

H4895 is my favorite powder, I like Barnes 210 gr TSX or 215 gr Sierra BTSP. I load 47 grs in my Sako but I can seat my bullet our further than what you can in a T3, so you might not be able to get that much powder in yours. The 200gr SST should be fine in the 338F, probably wont break bone as well as an X bullet or Partition or Accubond
