Which CZ .22 should i go for?

HI

I have been looking at the different models of CZ .22's and not sure which one i should lean towards, it sounds like it will be hard to go wrong with any of them? I will be buying a Scout for my son so we can both shoot together. I would like to get a model that has an adjustable trigger, not sure if i should go with the Varmint/Trainer/lux/ultra lux or ???? I will be using it for punching paper and metal targets and would like to shoot long range with it (greater than 100yrds ++) I would like to pick a rifle that i will beable to grow into (skill wise) and not have to keep upgrading? the barrels go from 20-28". This will be a scope gun.

If you're planning on mounting a scope I would go with either the American or the Varmint model. The lux is made more for using open sights and will be a bit tougher to use with a mounted scope. I have a CZ 455 American and I'm definitely the limiting factor when it comes to accurate shooting.

I have a 452 varmint and a 455 lux and would have to give a slight edge to the 455 for the simple fact it has a timney trigger. Don`t have a problem with a scope on the 455 lux but those stocks do look funny. CZ makes nice rifles for sure.
 
You can't go wrong with either the 452 varmint or 452 american. Put in a yodave kit(easy) and enjoy. The style and silhouette also are made to scope and I have yet to buy a 452 that doesn't shoot well.(The full stock was the best shooter for me)
 
My 452 American and Varmint are both very accurate and on any given day, one will outperform the other.
Two groups with the Varmint at 100 metres were 1.1 and 1.3 using CCI Select. Mini mags produced a 2.3 inch group but the solid and HP's will perform interchangeably.
Both are quality rifles that you could put in your will!!!
Have not shot the 455 but they are well reported on.
The 452, 452, and 455 in American and Varmint are suited to scopes. The LUX with iron sights will put the scope too high and you will lose cheek to stock contact.
Past 100 yards with the irons will probably be punching air rather than paper. While both will be accurate a scope will show the accuracy capabilites.
 
You can't go wrong with any of these CZ 452's. From L to R ... FS, Varmint, American, Silhouette, Scout

The 453, which is available in American and Varmint configurations, comes with an adjustable trigger that can also be used as a single set trigger.
 
I went with the scout and put a full size stock on it. I have yet to find a longer barrel CZ outshoot it. posted the target at the lgs and they sold all CZ 22's within days. they used to sell the American with a 16" barrel, it was a true find.

I bought an American with a long barrel and sold off all but the stock. worked out to $200 for the Stock, later found out any LGS who deals with the CZ suppliers can order any CZ stock you want, just have to wait a bit.
