Recently a dealer posted that he had .22LR that was lubricated and powerful enough to work reliably in semi-auto handguns like the M&P22. I forgot to bookmark it and now I can't find the thread in search. Can anybody point me to the dealer and the make of the ammo?

It was a specific ammo from a good maker. The dealer was advertising it for sale. Might have been Federal brand.

You might try dipping the bullets of what you can get, in Lee mule snot (Liquid Alox) and allowing them to dry.

Results have been good, reportedly. Not gonna pack the stuff around loose in your pocket afterwards, though.

I'm not to sure where you would get lapua rimfire stuff.
Lapua and SK ammo are imported and sold by Hirsch Precision; link up top.

Their pistol match offerings can be expensive but it is very premium ammo. The pistol ammo is designed to cycle in competition style pistols though; don't know how well they'll cycle in conventional semi's like the M&P. I've talked to several people who can only get their semi pistols to cycle with hyper velocity ammo like CCI Velocitors, CCI Stingers, and Rem Yellow Jackets.

SK offers a high velocity round now as well, both in solid and hollow point. Probably worth a try too.

SK? This was an ad within the last few days. It specifically mentioned working well in semi-auto handguns. Some .22LR doesn't feed or cycle the action well. I've even had problems with snap caps that get caught on the feed ramp when you rack the slide.

Look for any target ammo, eley, lapua, sk,

Hirsch precision, site sponsor carries lots, and if you local dealer doesn't have any they can always source some for you from their supplier North Sylva. Many dealers don't carry it, as its typically more money, as its target ammo, not hunting ammo.

that 'greasy' stuff is lube that improves accuracy by reducing friction in the barrel, for those that don't know. Many higher end target rounds have tiny divets or grooves around the circumference of the projectile for the purpose of transferring lube along the bore as the bullet slides by.
