Hey everybody, got talked out of a m2. Now it's onto gas guns. I'm after a 3" gun have no use for a 3 1/2" cannon. Experiences with them even those not listed are appreciated. Left hand is a plus.

I owned the SX-3, and the A400 and have shot trap and skeet with the Maxus. My SX-3 is my go to waterfowl gun, because I shoot it better than the others.

I have 2 Maxus . A stalker in 3" with 28" barrel .and a hunter 3" with 26" barrel . Both are great guns that are soft shooting and handle 3" waterfowl and 2 3/4" target loads with out any fuss. I owned the new a5 which I sold to buy the maxus hunter .the a5 was nice handling gun but had a fair bit more recoil . My advice would be try as many guns as possible be for you buy .

Quite mild, although the A400 is slightly softer.

I think about anything would shoot softer than the canuck hunter I have right now. Thing is a absolute cringer to shoot duck loads with. I'm looking for a reliable duck gun and have heard good things about the sx3... I've just had previous bad experiences with Winchester products, so I really need reassurance.

I have owned a browning gold for 20 years. And a beretta urika. The browning gold shoots softer. There both reliable.

Not gonna lie I've looked at the gold a couple times.

I bought a Vinci ( Benelli) and am quite happy.

Shot a Vinci once. If it came in left hand I'd probably buy one.

I'm able to handle them no problem at shops. But shooting them is a different story. Thank you for the umpire though I appreciate it. I like Brownings reputation for things that work, I own a couple semi and lever rifles.

i have the browning maxus in 3.5 and have never had issues cycling anything. it goes with me everywhere from coyotes and pigeons to geese and ducks. i would like to say i treat it well but in honest i abuse the crap out of it and it continues to run like a top.

try a versamax. heavier than other but very light recoil compared to many. i'm waiting for a deal in a v3. remingtons gas system if you ask me is the next generation gas guns.

I disagree, smoothest gun I've ever shot. Although I should state that mine is a TacOrd model/version so it has been smoothed over.

The one I shot was straight factory and it was a mule.

I own a maxus for about 5 years now. My waterfowl and turkey gun, no problems and would recommend.

I shouldered a sx3 and a maxus today... The maxus fit like it was custom made, pretty sure I'm going with it. Shouldered a a400 and didn't like the feel of it at all.

Are you talking a versamax or v3?
V3 sorry

There is your answer. It is all about fit IMO
I have one of each you noted , all work well but the a400 can get cranky feeding sometimes but all of mine are 3 1/2. I use the X3 way more than the others
You cannot go wrong with any on your list
Cheers

For sure. The maxus wasn't like any gun I've ever held before. Everything about it just worked, it was the 3 1/2" but I found a 3" so I'm gonna get it. I have no use for a cannon haha
