I am looking for a holster for my 92. I tried the Bianchi and really liked it, however, I would like to know what other options I have arund that price point (approx $100). I would like some imput as to which holsters won't take the finish off my gun.

Also, what are the drop leg style like to use? Are they easier/faster to draw?

Thanks,
Adam

Eagle Industries makes a good on, BHI is another good one, and a few others. But the M12 is the only modular Mil-Spec Holster, meaning it's a tough holster, and you change the style of it multiple ways ie; it's ambidextrous, there are multiple attachments available, chest harness, shoulder rig, drop leg extender, thumbreak etc.....

Drop leg is good if you're wearing a Tactical vest, less interference with the Pistol draw, it also looks Kool too.

Just my .02

Depends on what type of shooting disapline our into. Freedom Ventures carry some inexpensive speed holsters for IPSC. Your Bianchi might be good for IDPA, depending on the style. The inexpensive Kydex holster are fine if your just getting into PPC.

Leather holsters tend to be a little harder on blued finishes. Let us know what type of shooting you do and we can be more specif to your needs.

Get one of these and you won't be dissapointed,

For now I am going to be using it for informal shoots, as there is no competition at our club. We have been setting up two gun shoots on the action range, and I am in need of a holster.

Thanks for the replys so far fellas,
Adam

You can find all kinds of great deals on Safariland 6004 and 6005 if you are looking for a drop leg tactical holster for your 3 gun matches. This rig won't work for your IDPA or IPSC games. Luckily the Beretta you own is parallel to the USGI M9, so lots and lots of military holsters are available for such a platform.

I find that a few holsters in your collection are in order. For our games here in Collingwood, my wife and I sport Blackhawk CQC SERPA holsters for our 1911's. These holsters can be adapted for IDPA or our Service Style Tactical 3 Gun shoots or even concealed carry if need be... well they do stick out a bit. Anyways, find out what works for you, your budget, your style, your game, and never forget.... your "look cool value".

Cheers,
Barney
