Which IPSC Holster?

Redhill tactical looks great but I don't see how you can adjust it. Seems like it is hand made it and attached it to a clip of your choice. I only see tension screws, no other adjust ability. Still undecided on what to go with. DAA seems like the most popular choice and I will be using it for Limited/Standard division only but if my Shadow 2 could also fit it, that would be a bonus for 3gun events.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions.

trust me when i say a holster will not make you shoot faster.
It may allow a 1.20 draw/first alpha, but it is all in the training.

Train with a bladetech and you'll still be able to get a 1.20 if you train enough,
Speed holsters allow for some slop and reduce draw error.

A full lift would keep your arms tight to your body allowing a full push 'out'.
I may or may not know what i'm talking about, but i may also be top field.

Best of luck.

with a couple weeks of dry fire and 2-3 live fire sessions, I've been easily getting 1.25 s with production holster (comptac international with drop/offset) and 1.05 as a best run. All at 7 yards on a ispc metric target.

I don't really like bladetech holsters. I had one and sold it after I held it in my hands as there is no adjustability. I also do prefer a normal style holster vs a race holster and I am not buying one to think it will make me faster.

Regular Bladetech holsters have no real adjustability. the DOH though allows you to change the amount of drop off the belt, the angle of the holster, and then the tension for holding the firearm. It's a regular holster but with way more adjustability.

Could just get a blade tech then a boss hanger, all the adjustability for offset/drop you need.

Most of the adjustment for the RHT holster is in hanger, I'm pretty sure Springer precision is making them. This show you what I'm talking about.

Yes thank you, I posted on another forum and people explained that. I wasn't aware of that but now I am.

Overall I am still undecided. I don't want to spend $250+ on a holster but the DAA seems the way to go. The Redhill looks good but there is a 30 day wait and it's $200 once converted to Canadian after shipping.

The DAA is the way to go if money is a concern. Sounds counter intuitive but one holster and an insert for every pistol you have.

Saves money in the long run if you think about it.

Yes it makes sense. I am also still trying to find a retailer in Canada who has the proper block. Apparently, only the Euro shop has them and shipping is taking its time.

Yes I saw that and called them, they said they have to order some from their Euro plant. I have an office in the EU and if I use that as my internet gateway, I can order direct from the EU website.

I saw 2 people today with the same gun. One had a DAA holster and the other had the Ernie Hill. Both worked. Umm

I've seen Ernie Hill name mentioned and I said I'd give ya'll an update on my good friend. He's alive and kickin and again up to his old ways in making holsters, belts and what not. For everyone interested in the good ole leather products I totally recommend Ernie Hill Speed products. I use exclusively his holsters for every style I shoot in competitions and I vouch for the quality and reliability. Till recently I was using a 40 years old Ernie Hill beat up holster I bought from an old gent who couldn't shoot anymore and I can tell you I had amazing results while using it. Ernie Hill leather never dies. I know nowadays people are looking for plastic and composite gear but for the nostalgic and old fashion shooters leather is something special.

And just to see what a 60 years young Ernie Hill looks like today here I post a link with him practicing his first and biggest love: Fast Draw. He claims "I'm a retired gunfighter". Retired my buttocks. Once a shooter always a shooter.
