Hey Guys,

wanted to hear input from the owners of the promag 50 round drum and the black dog 50 round drum and see which one works better.

I saw on the Mystic Precision site they said the promag needs to be worked in, is it the same for the black dog?

Do either of them jam more then the other?

Thanks

I have the Black Dog and it took a little adjusting on the feed ramp to get it running and it still don't like Winchester hollow points but it runs through round nose solids as fast as you can pull the trigger. It also looks pretty bad @ss in my SR-22. If you search there is at least a half dozen threads here on them.

My buddy has the Pro-Mag. Useless piece of crap. Does not feed worth a damn. I can get through 8 32 round mags in the 597 in the time it takes him to fire off 47 rounds from his drum... They are great for giving you the skills needed to clear FTE and fix FTF jams... It has been relagated to the status of wall hanger. After 1000 rounds through it, it was still running just as ####ty as new.
