Skeet is far more popular than trap at my local range, however I recently went to a range 2 hours away from me to check it out, and the trap range was full, and I was the only one on skeet.

Whats it like near you?

Hamilton Gun Club was always considered a trap club, however, more and more skeet shooters are showing interest. it seems like there's wait time on all three skeet fields.
Praying it keeps up.

I run the skeet in Chatham,Ontario at the Kent Cloverleaf. Trap is much busier here. I also shoot in nearby blenhiem at the Rondeau Rod and gun and the trap is busier there as well. I only shoot skeet Myself. Don't really know why trap would be more popular.

We tend to shoot more skeet than trap. However, we shoot trap every day the club is open, it just usually takes a little more arm twisting to get a squad together some days. If we can muster the labour, our 5-stand when set up attracts the most attention, but finding the labour to set it up is always a challenge.

I am a member of three clubs, one has Trap only, the second has both with Trap most popular and the third has both but vary rarely is Trap shot. 95 % Skeet there.

Our club is all about sporting clays, though they did recently put in a skeet range. There are trap ranges next door. Make for some good natured banter. "Quit whining. You sound like a trap shooter."

If I could shoot sporting clays for a price similar to skeet or trap, I would shoot sporting clays three times per week. However, since sporting clays is so much more expensive, I shoot skeet twice per week, and sporting clays once per week.

popularity at my club is trap-sporting-skeet in that order. The only game with a league is trap. Sporting has attracted lot of new members.

At the clubs I belong to, the more serious shooters are trap shooters but both are popular among non competitive shooters.
