As the title says which mags are used in the Kommando? Also I need to find one, so if someone out there has one they would like to part with or know where I can get one please send me a message. Thanks for the help.

I believe our new friend is talking about the South African Kommando "RHUZI" subgun made by the Kommando Arms of South Africa. :D

Not a very reliable gun. Has a plastic frame. I think it was a cheap take-off of some Czech subgun from the '50s.

Indeed as DAR 701 so eloquently expresses, the Kommando takes stock UZI magazines. :)

:stirthepot2: carbine3B, do you have one of these Kommandos?? :p

Happy New Year to all.

I hear it is crappy, and people circulate them here now and then. Still, if the price is right, I'd buy one just because. Uzi magazines are very hard to get and many were converted for ARs.

Yes I am talking about the South African KOMMANDO "RHUZI" subgun made by the Kommando Arms of South Africa. Sorry I didn't say that in the first place. I know they are not the nicest looking and are known to have problems but I think they are neat in there own way and I couldn't pass on this one but the guy cann't find the mag for the gun at this time. He knows he has it and said to give him so time to find it, but I would like to try the gun out. I thank you guys for your help.

Not sure, but aren't these S. African Kommandos prohib as an UZI variant, or some type of Ingram machine pistol, or modified version thereof?

It IS referred to as the Rhodesian UZI, hence "RHUZI".

However, semi-auto versions exist.

They are a open bolt semi auto design that is just restricted. Don't ask me how this happened. That was the only reason I could not pass on this one, that and the price was right.

However there do exist semi-auto versions of the S. African Kommando.

Not even close. You are thinking of the BXP and they are legal. The Kommando is a tube gun.
