Which Magpul mags for XCL-L .223 ??

I am new to the XCR and looking for some additional mag's.

I hear the magpul one are pretty good.

with the: MAGPUL - 30/5 PMAG Gen M3 fit the XCL-L (new keymod)

Don't bother. Get LAR15 or METAL Beowulf mags... The plastic ones leave much to be desired...

If you want full length profile for a LAR you can get plastic extensions from GS Designs or metal ones from SJ Hardware.

I ran both Gen 2 and Gen 3 Magpuls in my XCR and never had any issues. It was not the Keymod version but I don't think that will matter.

Gen 2 or Gen 3 will be fine.

I own a .223 keymod XCR.
I use magpul 5/30 mags gen 1, 2, and 3.

They all fit and they all work very well. (You may need to sand down the exposed rivet to make them drop freely)

I also use metal LAR-15 10 round pistol mags.

They fit and they work well.

Sorry to side track a bit but how are the key mod versions for reliability and accuracy? Seems RA continues to finesse the rifle with each generation.

I got some 2 inch groups and less using an assortment of ammo, got 1 inch groups with hornady superformance 53 g ammo. 100 yards . XCR-l keymod HB. So far , out of 400 rnds ,2 stovepipes on setting 1, works 100% on 2

Magpul Pmags work fine. No issues. I run them in my Tavor and love them. Yeah only 5 rounds but whatever, they work good and look good. Just grab a few LARS as well, and your good to go.
