Is that someone's last name and last three of their SIN on the bolt of the hex M44? If so, it's a major "owie" on its value.

That's the rifle's serial number electropenciled onto the bolt to force it to match. ЮИ407. The И is handwritten, which is why it looks different from the И on the rifle's receiver.

How's the bore on the '44 M38? One of those would be interesting to have as well. Not quite as common as the M44.

Bright and shiny with lots of rifling. If it's pitted, it's pretty minor.
