Not so much which is your most accurate, because everyone would say their K31 is, but I'd like to hear from everyone which if their milsurps they can shoot the most consistently and accurately with.

For me, I'd have to say my full wood Eddystone P17. For being one of the oldest Milsurps I have, I am always blown away with how well I can shoot this one. And not just the odd fluke, I mean every group I shoot surprises me.

My M44 Mosin would be the winner, smoothed out the trigger and did a little work to the bolt so it cycles even smoother.

Second that here.

I shimmed the trigger spring under the recieve for less contact between the bolt knob sear and the trigger spring sear and polished both surfaces up with some fine sandpaper as well.

I also made a home made trigger return spring out of a clothespin spring I straightened out and coiled around the trigger retaining pin ;)

So now there is no sloppy donkey #### trigger, it's all under tension and very light trigger pull

With decent ammunition and irons I can get 4-5" groups easily at 100 meters. Loves me some M44!

My Ross MkIII* is my go to gun. Shoots well in any weather with both cast or jacketed loads. The long sight radious and front sight hood really aid in having good accuracy.

I'd have to say that my second favorite to shoot was a bit of a surprise to me. It's my 1900 BSA Magazine Lee enfield. It has oldschool barely corn sights but retains its heavy full length barrel and looks like it's seen a lot of action. But you point her and pull the trigger and she does the rest consistently!!

Third is my Finnish M91 mosin. Like lost Fin mosins it's a rifle that shoots well without a lot of fuss it just gets the job done!

of all the ones I have had the Garand shoots the best. sights are just good and the semi auto makes recoil a bit easier on you. and you don't need a work the bolt after every shot.

I shoot best with my Longbranch #4. Kar98's seem to be designed for German midgets. None of the 3 I own are comfortable for me to shoot with.

Cast Bullets- 03A3 Springfield. Great sights and this rifle has a new 2 groove barrel which has never "experienced" a jacketed bullet.

Jacketed bullets. M38 Swede. I've got 2 but shoot best with the one with some bore wear. Last serious group I shot with it was just before local turkey shoot. Only 3 rounds at 100 yards (last 3 rounds I had loaded at that time) but they were within an inch and a quarter of each other and perfectly centered in the bull. Went to the shoot with a positive mind set , shot in 2 relays and came home with a bird. This rifle has put more than 25 tukeys in my freezer at shoots over the years.

Fall turkey shoots used to be very popular in Southern and Central Ontario years ago. Local Fish and Game Club ran one this fall. Couple local hunt camps do them as well.
