Which Powder for 9mm and 45 auto

For anyone using 231 or Unique, try Hodgdons TITEGROUP.

TG is FAR superior. Its cleaner, packs more punch, meters well, more bang for the buck and excellent in both 9 and 45. I like it more, the guns like it more. I was a little skeptical at first, but there is a very noticable difference in performance. Just try it.

Powders like 231 and Unique have their place, but the line 'the guy at the store/dad/buddy uses it' sells far more of it than it deserves. You'll switch if you try TG. Too bad Hodgdons can't send out samples like they do with shampoo... cuz you'll tell two friends...

Quite frankly, the only MAJOR drawback with Titegroup is it's popularity, the 700lbs ordered by Higginson's was sold within 2 weeks and I didn't get a chance to buy some...

I have been using 231 for 9mm and .45 ACP for almost 15 years now. No reason to change. It's fine.
+1 on that. Only exception is I use Unique with 185 gr. JHP 45's (Hornady Flying Ashtrays). Using this combination with WW cases, Federal LP primers has produced outstanding 5 shot groups standing at 25 yds.

I load my 9MM with HS-6 and its been great.

How much powder for 115 grain do you use and what's the cartridge OAL ? I'm a reloader beginner and that's the powder i bought for 9mm but i'm still waiting for my press to be delivered.

your help would be appreciated

Yup, I was going to try some, but everywhere is always sold out. so I stick to my bullseye for 45, and unique for 9, can find it everywhere, little to no muzzle flash and accurate, (can be a bit dirty though)
