I don't load all that much, maybe a a couple boxes a week but I've been weighing every charge and it's my least favorite part of it, so my question is should I go to powder measure and if so which one do you guys recomend, money is an issue but so is quality.

Those are very nice units but I'm looking for something a little more low tech and cheaper, something between those and my balance beam.

powder measure

Redding match grade powder measure. A littlepricier than some of the others but worth it.

No backlash micrometer adjustment and very well made. You can get powder chambers for both small pistol charges and large rifle charges so any cartridge can be loaded with it.

you cannot beat the RCBS Uniflow with the micrometer metering screw. I have the screw on my pistol measure and the rifle one. Easy returnability on both, especially with ball powders. Stick powders suck in all measures (I've owned them all just about). if you need to pick up speed the RCBS electronic measure, the new one, has been given the highest ratings by all the online reloading sites, faster than the PACT (which is what the old RCBS was), and much cheaper too, with a scale.

Lee sells a cheap but very accurate unit. With ball and short stick I don't even bother weighing between charges once I'm set-up.

I use one of these as well. I don't shoot benchrest, but I do find this one pretty accurate. Works great for everyday type loading.

Redding match grade powder measure, excellent measure. Have used one for 15 years as accurate as the day I got it. They were the first with micrometer zero backlash commercial units and in my opinion they are still the best without going into a semi-custom unit. IMO

i've used the rcbs uniflowfor over ten years and it is the same that my father has used for almost thirty. have never had any problems, and is very accurate.
