Which rings for Ruger No.1?

Mine came in with a set of #5....installed a Zeiss 3x9-40mm and now I don't have a tight cheek to stock fit with about 3/4" high off the barrel. I'd like to know if I can go lower without interferring with the loading of ammo in the chamber? What do you guys think?

I've got the No. 4's on my Ruger and there seems to be plenty of room for loading and unloading.
