A guy I'm in school with wants to sell me a heavy barrel savage rifle. I haven't seen the gun yet but here is the info he gave me

left hand
308
2 front sling swivel studs (I'm assuming factory)
accutrigger
no dm
bued synthetic

He wants $500. I'm thinking of buying it. It's like new and comes sans scope.
I'd like to know what model this is to see what they're worth new. He's supposed to bring me pics tomorrow.

It could be a lot of models. Pictures Help. The two front sling swivels, if the second was installed at the factory lead me to believe it is some sort of precision-type offering. the Savage website gives me a Model 10 FLCP-K, but it has a muzzle break. That's the only left hand .308 heavy barrel I could find in my brief search.

ask him for the serial number ... savage arms website has a feature you can use to look up the number and it'll tell you exactly what you need to know.

What are you studying and how old are you? Between you and your buddy thats quite the diatribe about a rifle that you could not even figure out the model. :D

Sounds like liberal studies
Final exam question is as follows:

If nothing sticks to teflon, how does teflon stick to the frying pan? :runaway:

Savage 10 FLP. I have one in .223. Very accurate but the Tupperware stock sucks. I dremeled out the inside of the stock and epoxied in a machined aluminum channel to stiffen.
