I have been searching the web, got confused. I found two totally different base rail, both are Browning brand, same part# 12327, but from the picture , totally different.

they both are for " Browning BLR short action, take down mode, scout style "
can anyone share some knowledge about it? thanks

I used the 12327 for a forward mounted optic.

It has 3 holes and looks more like photo #2, but it rests on the barrel contour at both ends in the version I purchased.

Your photo #2 shows a version with holes at different locations than mine.

I'll add to your confusion, these are two surplus Browning mounts that I have and both are the same identical mounts but the one on the left has part # 12327, the same one on right is 12326 and is the same as the one I used on my 7wsm non-takedown. I would guess that your first pic is for barrel mount and second is for receiver mount option

picture #1, is the one I found at browning website, clearly says for " part#12327 BLR take down, short action, scout style", yet I never saw one, online, during search, installed on any BLR takedown yet.

while the picture #2, is the one I saw on online, on many many post, threads, that appears to be this one, scout, takedown, short action.
people had post their images of the box, clearly stated on the box is browning #32127

yet they are totally different.

just wondering, has anyone actually see #1 ??

I have had 2 12327 SA Scout rails. Both looked like your 2nd photo. It's made like that because of the taper on the barrel.

To compound the matter EGW makes a regular Picatinny mount for the blr t/d. This pic rail has one part number but 2 different lengths. To fit the t/d you need the shorter (more recent production) one. Third party vendors may have the older one in inventory. Jerry at mystic precision can order them.

The photo on the browning site is incorrect.
