Which STI

If you're gonna get an STI in .45 ACP, get this one:

I'm assuming you are comparing the edge and exec, and not the 10. I'll let others comment on subtle functional difference - they are pretty similar - but as much as i like the chrome exec, I find the light gray plastic grip can start looking a little grungy. This is purely a lame cosmetic thing obviously. You can always get a chrome edge with a black grip.

I'm partial to the single stacks myself, but if i went for a double stack, the Perfect 10 is pretty sweet.
 
Edge, put a mag well,chrome and a a dawson fiber optic on it and you have the exc. Even so its an STI , you probably still have to work on it to make it 100% reliable. Great guns but for 2k I would expect not to see any machining or tool marks.

I like the 2011 Tactical 5.0 , too.
