Just a note, one should not tumble loaded rounds because different powders are coated to control burn rate.

Yes. Once they are tumbled at the factory and then bounced down the road for several hours before you get them, any further tumbling could cause the powder to transform into enriched plutonium.

Canister powders available to reloaders are even more fragile.......
 
I'm very new to reloading. Tried some corncob media bought at a pet store and it was incredibly dusty and inefficient, total waste of time. Switched to ground walnut shell, seems to work much better.
 
I only tumble the live rounds that the police leave stomped into the ground at the range. Their ammunition seems very tumble stable. Mostly Remington but some winchester.
