I shoot a 38 Super for fun, a Colt 1911 with an unramped, unsupported barrel. My current load is CFE Pistol 6.2 grs with a Campro 124 gr RN. Velocity is 1210 fps and the accuracy is great.
I have no complaints with CFE Pistol but can't count on it locally so I'm going to have to buy online and get it shipped.
So that got me to thinking if I'm going to get my powder online maybe I should look at a VV powder. I've gotten great results with so many VV powders in rifle and just love the stuff.
So which one do I look at for recreational 38 Super use? I'm not an Ipsc guy who needs to make major, just want a velocity around 1200-1250 fps as this seems to give the best accuracy with the 124 gr Campro.
Thanks for any suggestions or info.
