Yes a Diana34 is about as much quality and as powerful springer that will use up the full $400 with tax and shipping. Airgun source also has the Diana280 which is a little less power but is a few inches shorter and a bit lighter and $75 less. If it was $450 then you could look at a HW95 + tax & shipping

Another vote for Diana, it will not disappoint, and will last forever with proper care. Just a heads up though, they hate crosman pellets, giving mediocre groups with any I have tried. Throw in some jsb exacts or h+n barracudas, and you will see a tack driver.

Go with a used HW-77, you have the iron sights, but putting a scope is easy. Great gun to shoot.
