Which would you choose?

I am sooooooo confused. I don't know which one to pick.

Do I pick the .22 short? Less meat wastage on those small game birds, but limited range. But it would be okay in the tight bush for those close shots. There is also limited ammo supply.

Do I go with the .22 long? Better shooting range than the short, a bit more flat shooting.

Do I go with the .22 long rifle? The best range of the three, flattest shooting, but very destructive on those close shots. It also has a great selection of ammo.

What would you do?








I know.... I feel a little cheecky this afternoon! But we discuss every other cartridge comparision, so why not!!

Pick for what? Just get a Marlin with a tubular magazine, and shoot all 3. Problem solved!

go with the LR (solids). If you want less meat damage (and noise), find some subsonics. shorts can foul up some chambers i'm told

i vote for the 22lr accurate plenty around and if your worried about wastage get roundnosed ones

You can use stingers for power/trajectory, down to CB longs for quiet work up to 25 yards.
What are you using them on??
