which XTR rings for menace+savage

What size Burris XTR rings?

Just ordered that menace 4.5-18x56 with a EGW base for my savage 12FV, .223 heavy barrel. Was hoping somebody could recommend what size Burris XTR Rings to go with it. I was thinking the 1/2 inch which are the "medium" rings I believe. Wondering if they would give me enough clearance or if I should go with the 3/4 inch high rings to be safe.

Any input appreciated,

Same setup as me.

I'm running medium and wish they were a tiny bit lower but the low rings will be too low.
This is all on a savage 10FP
I have the EGW 20MOA base with burris XTR mediums
