It is unknown which forum vendors, if any will carry this, and it is unknown if the stock is solid or will have flex/give issues like the F5 stock, but Whiskey 1 is producing a folding stock compatible with AR180-based Canadian rifles. It is being used in Crusader Arms 180 based rifles going forward, and will supposedly be compatible with the following firearms:

More models to be announced…

Hopefully it will work well. Regardless, it is cool to see a manufacturer announce something targeted towards the Canadian market.

I wonder they could make a version to fit the Type 81? It would work with a Type 81 buffer tube adapter, but it would be cool to be able to delete that step.

Ustak,

Do you have any more information on whiskey1? I couldn’t find a webpage for them and all I could find was their instagram page. Do we know the weight of the stock, length of pull, materials, etc?

Everything is unknown at this point; I hope the adoption of the Whiskey over the F5 stock for the Crusader is a good sign, but this an notification of life post only at this point; only time and people's experiences will tell the truth of the quality and details.

One more possibility; if this stock is any good, and Whiskey1 can make it in quantity, this would make a nice stock for the IRunGuns 180 lower compatible PSA Jakl project, should that come to fruition.

Hmmm... colour me interested ... pending MSRP and a bunch of details already mentioned that don't seem to be available right now.

I PMed them on Instagram saying that I was very interested and would love to know more.

I can't imagine launching a new product anytime after 2005 and not having a website, instagram and facebook page already set up and prepared for questions before launching the product, so that doesn't increase my confidence, but we'll see!

More details from Code of Arms interview with Steve from Spectre LTD. Will post transcript later when I get home, but here is a summary. Whiskey1 is Spectre LTD's new polymer accessories division. Cutting out the supply bottleneck of F5 stocks and diversifying into a less regulated, more stable space were reasons given.

The stock itself will apparently be fiberglass infused to avoid the over-flex of the F5vl stock, and improves on the design in that it locks in place when folded and had a cheek riser that stays near the end of the stock even when extended.

Plans are in the works for the stock to have adapters for Siberian and Type 81 in Canada, along with the Jakl, AK47s , and some Sig firearms in the States.

Hopefully this will turn out to be a good product. Time will tell. Anyone going to Taccom, please hit up the Spectre/ Crusader booth to see if have a Whiskey1 stock on hand to try out.

Thanks for posting a quick summary I haven’t had the chance yet to watch that video. That answers my questions about whiskey 1 and that it’s part of Spectre LTD.

Transcript of video regarding the Whiskey1 Stock, starting at time index 28:08 in the above posted video:

we've also gone to a new stock uh the whiskey 1 brand stock it's great it
folds it adjusts it locks um it adjusts a lot better in my opinion than the old
ACR style ones that you had to pinch on both sides this is just like an AR one you just grab the back and and pull it
out to adjustment I think it's a three position adjustable stock so that's replacing the uh previous F5 version
well the biggest issue with the F5 is a lot of guys said it it had way too much Flex in it so this stock is made with a
glass filled nylon uh the F5 stock is not uh the F5 stock didn't lock when you
folded it it flopped around this one locks tight to the gun um the F5 stocks
were hard to get they had to be imported I believe imported from a third world
country to the United States and then from the United States to us so it was long process to get a lot of our our
delays in delivery were actually caused by the stock so I'm not trying to point fingers and blame things like delays
happen in manufacturing all the time but that was a key element that caused us a lot of delays so we wanted to find a
reliable source uh for this the stock and uh one of the other things that I
noticed uh with it having done some shooting is uh the the fact that that cheek uh Riser comes back with it oh
that's right really keeps your face cuz what I found with the F5 when I just did the length of pull the cheek Riser is up
here my cheek's back here so I found that that was actually that was big Improvement that was a really nice thing
when I saw that I'm like this is great cuz I mean when you adjust your length of pull you're actually moving your
whole shoulder in your whole face so to make the cheek Riser stay stationary in my opinion it was a design flaw in the
ACR in my opinion that that didn't move with the the adjustable part because that's how it's you know they're they're
connected your face and your shoulder are connected so so anybody ordering uh whether it be
a krux uh 65 or 308 or Templar 2 will be coming with this adjustable gas block
all new yep New Stock and uh new gas block yeah and what would you say from
