White fur on deer foot?

Buddy sent me this picture today of a deer he killed. It had white fur on all 4 feet. Any ideas?

seen a few deer like that shot south of here. They call them socks, they must live in the hardwoods all their lives, because deer around here have black legs from the swamp water.

I have seen a few deer like that in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario, one we got even had white speckles all up its hind legs, a few years ago there was a piebald doe (half white half brown) where we hunted but we didn't shoot her. I guess they are just color variations just like people have different hair colors

That's nothing too unusual .I 've seen several like that and shot one with 4 white leg stockings with 4 pink hoofs! Like a pig.............

Nothing unususal. I've seen lots of white-tails with white or black markings. My buck this year had a white strip of fur on his forehead.
