Who can cut my Auto-5 barrel to accept interchangable chokes?

I have a Browning Auto-5 with a fixed choke barrel. I'd really like to get it cut to accept some form of interchangeable choke, like Remchokes or something. I'd also like to ensure that it's safe for steel.

Who does this in Southern Ontario?

Try contacting Arwen Ace here on this board he does good work ,also Sc gun works in Markham,pm me for more info on Sc.Sc can be slow and expensive dedends on who takes the job as their are two smiths there.You may find it cheaper to buy another barrel with the correct or removeable chokes you want.

Usually large factory chokes can not be installed in a lot of older barrels because the barrels are too thin.

It is real easy however to alter the choke to Improved Cylinder and lengthen the forcing cone and safely shoot steel shot all day long, with a good pattern. The best patterns with steel come out of quite open chokes, very little constriction is required. If the choke is too tight the pattern will be distorted and the possibility of damaging the barrel is always there.

You do not have to cutt your barrel.

I do this job for $125.00 .

Chokes are $56.00 each for steel shot.

Also, I will sugjest to modify your forcing cone at the end of your barrel chamber.
